This is it Tazmac, as investors do we want management learning their lessons with our money? No, not really. Ideally, the lessons are already learned from prior experience. New executives coming on-board are always sold to shareholders as having prior experience, with well-written descriptions of their achievements.
As for chillee being an indication of success - I dont buy this argument anymore. Ive held a number of miners in recent years on the basis that 'sophisticated investors' must know what they're doing, and the company struggles/fails anyway.
No, I now look for evidence of solid risk management built into the management culture before I consider the technical aspects of the project.
