I think Doug needs to spend his money on a calculator.
Extra 6.2cent per klm. Uses 2 ltrs per klm = 12.4 cents klm extra.
Going from Albury to Melebourne = 350 klm
350 klm x 12.4 cents = an extra $43.40
Doug pockets an extra $750. (There is a law against that isn't there?)
Might be time time to change profession. (and the reporter too)
