Interesting analysis ...I believe BG will want more equity in any future developments and particularly any LNG dvelopments. Being frank ... it would also in fact be more attractive to WPL to have a very large well cashed up partner in any developments... rather than a smaller junior partner like HDR (which doesn't "tow the line" always!!). So if anyone is going to get the thumbs up from WPL to move on HDR it would be BG IMHO and I've been saying that ever since they bought in.
I'm not convinced a takeover is imminent but anything is possible.
