G'day all, I agree with all said here in regards to investing in some overseas countries, and the risks associated.
I own IAU but I never bought them directly...they came as a deal struck with Emperor mines (EMP) a few years back.
I thought at the time when the deal was done, I should have sold because I never did go much on those chiselling cheats (Indonesia)....Money speaks all languages with that mob, and just recently they have announced a money grab whereby they end up with quite a big slice of the pie in mining ventures in the future. Check out the IAU share price/graph from recent trading and you will see what I mean. Their resource (IAU) is considered as probably one of the biggest on the planet, but I hope they sell up to a major and get out of the place once all derisking on the environmental front is in place, then I can buy more in FML. Coolgardie/Laverton/TI is a much safer address.
Blairbart, you said "It looks like Labor's days are numbered"!! So whats the alternative then?? Tony "NO" "Stop the boats" Abbott???!!! The man is absolutely clueless!!!
