adelaide presentation!!

Last night I attended a dual CEO CZD presentation in Adelaide which was also attended by Assoc. Prof Greenwood.

All three presented and the Polynovo story (which I have been following and investing in since 2005) seems close to big things. The metabolic story hasn't lit up my enthusiasm but any $ that David Kenley can find on a previous $50million investment is worth following.

John Greenwood was able to present what he is doing and why. Even with a medical background I hadn't previously understood the vac dressing trial until last night. After quizzing John (apologies to other attendees for this)I am reassured that Polynovo is making smart choices and continuing to undertake research in a frugal but methodical way. It is impressive the speed that Laurent and John have trailled many forms of BTM/Seal/adhesive on a tight budget to get where they are...

Ok my summary: I like the vac trial as a human start. It is a trial against the market leader and although it does not utilise all of the advantages of the polymer (it is not being implanted) the polymer is in contact with human tissue. As the polymer isn't being implanted it is effectively considered a dressing in this instance and therefore has a less complex approval process and shorter timeframe to market. Assuming this is a successful trial it gives the polymer evidence of safety in contact with human tissue and a potential large income... to fund research to fully realise the value in the IP!
