Feed conversion rates are closer to 1:1. ie. 1kg feed should produce roughly 1kg product. Bigger fish are not neccesarily a game maker. They can be unusable in the markets and value added products for various reasons even though the cost per kg rate of prodction on whole fish through the plants decreases by a considerable margin.
There can also be fish health and end product quality issues that can arise when product grows too big too quickly.
