I don't have a position in this stock. I have worked for Mirabela in the past and know many of the people in Brazil and the team in Perth. I wish them every success, but the realist in me can see that this thing is not going anywhere.
The low grade means that a deviation in recovery, grade, lithology, hydrology, etc can make a huge difference to the bottom line. That is, there is not much margin for error.
As I've written on a previous post, the feasibility study values were not realistic, as it turns out. According to the study, this mine would make money with Ni at $4.50 to $5. As it is, they can't seem to make money at $8.
