William Hill have slashed their odds about Kenny Dalglish ceasing to be Liverpool manager by the start of next season to even money from 5/2 after they suffered another setback with a 2-0 defeat at Newcastle on Sunday.
And Sky Bet make him the 7/4 favourite to be the next Premier League manager to go.
The Reds boss had been backed in to 4/1 following the 2-1 defeat to Wigan at Anfield last weekend but a sixth defeat in seven has seen his price cut even further.
Alex McLeish is the 5/2 second favourite with Aston Villa just five points clear of the drop-zone following their 4-2 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday while seemingly England-bound Harry Redknapp is 4/1.
Sky Bet's Stephen Parkes said: "Things are going for bad to worse at Liverpool and punters have reacted quickly to back Dalglish to leave Anfield.
"Losing Pepe Reina to suspension for their FA Cup semi-final with Everton is yet another blow, especially given further cup glory is all they can really hope for now this season."
William Hill make Dalglish 8/11 to still be in charge by the first day of next season while Andy Carroll is 5/2 to have left Anfield by then. The misfiring striker is also 5/6 to not score another Premier League goal during this campaign.
Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe said: "It was not a good day for either Dalglish or Carroll and as former Liverpool striker Torres begins to pull out of his own crisis, so Carroll will find himself more under the spotlight for his lack of goals."
Meanwhile Tottenham have been cut to as short as 1/12 with bet365 to achieve a top-four finish after a 3-1 victory over Swansea put them five points clear of Chelsea and Newcastle.
Harry Redknapp's side had failed to win their last five league games but got their reward for dominating the first half when Rafael van der Vaart side-footed home from 18 yards.
Gylfi Sigurdsson's looping volley beat Brad Friedel to give Swansea a second-half equaliser but Emmanuel Adebayor headed Spurs in front 14 minutes later before sealing the win four minutes from time with another headed goal.
The result also saw Spurs draw level with bitter rivals Arsenal, who lost at QPR on Saturday, and the Gunners are now 1/6 to end up in the top four.
Newcastle moved level on 53 points with Chelsea following their earlier triumph and they can now be backed at 10/1 with bet365 although William Hill offer 14s. Chelsea are 2/1 with bet365.
