I have in the past had a credit card issued to me by my employer. I was very careful to only use it for its intended purpose. I was in a position of trust.
Had I used it to pay for prostitutes I would have been in a lot of trouble, quickly. I would have been sacked, had to repay the money and been referred to the police for criminal prosecution. I would have pleaded guilty and been deeply ashamed.
This would apply to other Australians. Why were the allegations against Mr Thompson not referred to police but instead to FWA? Why are criminal actions of union leaders treated differently to those of other people?
We should all be equal before the law. We should all be treated equally. This is not a communist state there should not be one legal process for party members and another for the rest.
