Have been thinking about our "tier one backers" for this project.

We have been told that on the financial side of things we have the backing of "one of the world’s premier investment banks".

I thought it was interesting to note that when the Togo decision makers were in Perth last February, they met with, amongst others, "Western Australian Ministers responsible for Finance, Mining, Energy, and the Environment."

I also note that as of 2011, Australia appointed its first Ambassador to Togo, Billy Williams. Billy also looks after Ghana.

"The ceremony formalising this arrangement marked an important step forward in Australia's bilateral relationship with Togo."

Togo is certainly trying to clean up its act re business development in the area as referenced in DGH44's post on Hillary Clinton's visit.

I would love to know if the Australian Govt. is also one of our tier one backers, as I know that our Govt. does supply grants to assist poorer nations for development purposes.

It obviously would be great if we did have their support.

I guess we'll find out if we get the deal.
