We share something in common, my wife had a bad fall on Saturday morning, hitting her neck and badly damaging the 4th disc in her neck. She was in traction for 30 odd hours, then operated on. She is still in hospital, maybe home this weekend, apart from having difficulty lifting her arms she is ok. The arm movement should return in about 4 to 6 weeks. Be in a neck brace for 3 months. She was also very lucky.

I moved her back to the bed, never thinking about the consequences, it was only after I got her into bet and she screaming about the pain in her neck that I realised she may have broken her neck. I secured her head between 2 pillows and called the ambulance. Sure enough, X-Rays revealed she had dislodged her 4th disc in her neck, my moving her could have caused real damage, you just don't think of the consequences at the time.

Hope all goes well for your husband
