No doubt about that. Today the headlines are coming thick and fast. Bushfires are breaking out everywhere, Paul Howes is trying to soothe the steel workers, Penny Wong is trying to calm down the Salvos, but nobody yet has countered press stories about aged care costs rising though cost imposts on care workers.
It is starting to seem a bit like the dying days of the Whitlam government, although I don't think there was such public animosity for that government as there is now for the greens/independents, and the way in which the Gillard government kow-tows to them so much.
