What about all of the others - Goldfields, Anglo Ashanti, Randgold and even the likes of PRU or EVR (Mentioned in one of the Recent research reports)???
Rather than a Buy up of stock, offers would be more likely to be in scrip - shares. This is often the case in Mergers and mutually agreed take over scenarios.
