Apple makes most of its money from selling tunes and apps. Their idea was genius, make a device everyone wants and have a monopoly on providing the content.
Problem is Android phones are now outselling Apple phones, no one likes a monopoly. Apple have record profits as there was no competition, now there is competition for phones, tablets and content.
Sony was once the biggest electronic manufacturer in the world, now they are almost bankrupt.
