Something which I have been looking at for a while but didn't really think too much of is MNM popping up on the daily Short Sells report over the last month or so.
https://www.asxonline.com/intradoc-cgi/idcplg?IdcService=ASX_COLLECTION_DISPLAY&hasCollectionID=true&dCollectionID=68&SortField=dInDate&SortOrder=Desc
The strange thing about this report is the trades are not been reported to ASIC, thus i believe they are covered prior to close.
From memory the broker had to hit short sell on the order ticket which was later tagged through to the ASX trade sheet. This may of changed and i might be reading into this a little too much.
Make what you want of this data that I have complied, however I agree that things do smell a little.
MNM Short Trade File
In relation to the capping tactics prioir to the General Meeting, unless if the company decides to issue new shares within the next fortnight, then I would not be too concerned about this and it wont have any material impact on issue price etc. (from my understanding anyway)
