One would have thought that as the internet increased knowledge for the masses, it would have improved language skills. It hasn't!
Yes, ideas are more important that the restrictions of language and added to that are time and space limitations.
So brevity of time and space means punctuation/grammar/spelling/construction etc., fall by the wayside.
Understandable in the smaller scheme of things, but those other aspects are integral to NOT misinterpreting what is SAID.
In REAL person to person/face to face communication, intonation and facial expression are factors that can make those finer points unnecessary.
Yes, language changes and regardless of the anomaly of Shakespeare, it will continue.
Us old fuddyduddies find it trying in our final years :-).
