This is my wild speculation. It is widely believed that some Malaysian government cronies hold large parcels of LYC shares. With an election coming up and the recent hoo-haa, could it not be possible the cronies have been told to sell their LYC shares and make sure their fingerprints are not all over the place and distant themselves from Lynas until after the election? Those familar with Malaysian politics, any comments? The M'sian Govenment cannot afford another scandal.
