Windward puts up the spinnaker on Fraser Range results

Monday March 9, 2015: Shares in Windward Resources (WIN) soared more than 50 per cent today after the company revealed it had identified an "extremely strong conductor" just 4km from Sirius' Nova deposit in WA's Fraser Range.

The stock leapt from 22.5c to a high of 34c on the back of the news from the Western Margin prospect. Windward said the conductor measured 1.6km by 600m and was located between north-west striking faults which were interpreted to run through, or very close to, Nova.

"Yet another compelling drill target presents itself within our large Fraser Range project - and this is the best one yet," Windward chief executive David Frances said.

"Its proximity and interpreted geological relationship to Nova make it a stand-out drill target."

Windward said the drilling program had been approved by the Department of Mines and Petroleum and would start "as soon as possible".
