With 16 PTO projects supported there should be a number of ingenious device outcomes. Even though they are initially designed for specific WECs it means that a pool of PTO types will become available to support the wave power industry as a whole. Wave power companies will be able to ‘shape’ their wave actuator designs to match one of the PTOs that will be market ready.
