Dutton has done what he has said he would do and that was to have a debate on nuclear power. He has started that. he has stated his proposal and put it out there for debate. He has suggested small modular plants to be situated where the existing coal fired generators are now operating. He has suggested that gas fired power be used as an intermediate step.
I see no fault with those suggestions. The Labor policy of "unreliables" will end up costly for consumers and businesses.
Dutton has the bottle to make it an election issue. I suggest he is on a winner.
