DISGRACED former Health Services Union boss Michael Williamson has been taken into custody after a court heard that his “downfall has been complete’’.
Family and supporters of Williamson blew kisses and waved as the father of five was taken into custody following a sentencing hearing at Sydney’s District Court today.
It comes months after he pleaded guilty to four offences arising from his conduct while he was president of the HSU.
The charges include recruiting others to hinder a police investigation and two counts of defrauding the HSU.
