    when one drives around the vast bulk of Europe and America today - one is driving on bitumen strips through the majority of farmland

    In the hunter gatherer days for millions of years, all of this land was forested

    how is it possible for there to be a question on whether mankind has changed the environment or not?

    it’s plainly obvious

    And I suggest that it’s plainly obvious that such enormous environmental change must have ramifications on multiple earth systems as well.
