That is very likely to be correct Birdman. I posted the likely process bypass a few months ago. Should the responsible general receive a go ahead from Trump to launch a nuke a quick phone call would be made to Pence. Pence would then have the option to either confirm Trump's orders or declare Trump to be mentally incapacitated (the VP can do that). The short version is that Pence can fire Trump instantly.
