“A year ago, a ton of potash was around 245 euros in Europe. Now it's over 600.

Agricultural and livestock. The main problems are the possible lack of grain, feed and fertilizers,
which "can aggravate production costs in agriculture." At the same time, this sector “will be affected by the increase in fuel and electricity prices”. Russia is, along with Belarus, one of the largest producers of potash, a mineral widely used as a fertilizer. Specifically,
the CEO of Geoalcali explained during the Navarra Chamber session,
these two countries account for a third of the world's production of this raw material.
Ignacio Salazar (Geoalcali): “A year ago, a ton of potash was around 245 euros in Europe. Now it's over 600."
“Belarus, as a result of the sanctions imposed a few months ago, is closed and also has no access to the sea.
This problem has been generating difficulties for some time and, logically, the sanctions that are coming will complicate the situation even more,”
    explained Salazar.
