A stronger reaction would have been to exhibit some independence in calling for proof of Putin's involvement instead of simply believing the US line that Saddam has WMDs Russia shot it down. That's what the US want to believe, so it must be true. As a result of the Iraq fiasco, about a million Iraqis have been killed and the country is now a basket case at civil war. Do you really want that to happen again in Ukraine? It certainly sounds like it.
