I just watched this english program Food Unwrapped
The episode included a couple of segments about Hemp and Medical Marijuana.
One part was about milk made from the seeds. I’d like to try that.
All they do is extract the white liquid and mix with water to make a delicious, nutritious milk.
There was an interview with some woman about CBD.
She was saying the jury is out on the effects/benefits. I wondered what research she based that on.
Her comment brought to mind why the FDA in the USA have been working on regulations to control what is put in bottles as spot tests are revealing massive variations.
My understanding is that there is hemp oil and cbd oil.
They are not the same thing
Hemp oil may or may not contain CBD
CBD oil various from a low percentage of CBD to a very high
Full spectrum CBD includes the other Cannabinoids occurring in the plant well.
All quite confusing to consumers as someone might try hemp oil thinking they are using CBD and be disappointed.
All this also explains why prices can vary.
On the show, they had goodies to eat containing hemp. Brownies, sweets etc
The segment on the medical marijuana was about pain management.
If you can watch the program, do so as it opens your mind some what to the varied and broad uses of Hemp ( stand alone or as an ingredient)
Off topic, I wonder what will become of Hemp companies in the USA that use Chinese products.
The corona virus may create opportunity for USA, Australian and Canadian growers.
It might also separate the wheat from the chaff a bit sooner.
