Actually I agree, climate science will go down as one of the greatest scams and frauds in history.

While his team would struggle with funding for pioneer work they were under taking, climate scientists would have millions at their disposal for often extremely dubious research, especailly after the 80s when it became so politicised.
I'm sure at times he probably thought all he needed was to publish a single paper on the biological effects of increased sun radiation reaching the planet due to man made climate change and he would of received all the funding his team required for their real work.
Instead they struggled on ill equipped for decades but one of their legacies in addition to advancement in medical xray has been MRI.
