This verse is a humbling reminder that we're not as perfect as we think we are, and that our hearts are capable of great evil. It's a call to acknowledge our own weaknesses and limitations,and to rely on God's grace and mercy to guide us towards righteousness.

In biblical terms, this verse speaks to the doctrine of total depravity, which holds that every aspect of human nature is affected by sin, including our thoughts, feelings, and desires. It's not just that we've made mistakes or sinned in specific ways, but that our very hearts are corrupt and in need of redemption.

Scripture teaches the opposite ->perverse/depraved.
