“We don’t have enough” lithium globally to meet EV targets, says mining CEO Victoria Fetcher

.....one miner warned that in the transportation sector, domestic resources for lithium, the key mineral used to produce electric vehicles, may not be sufficient to meet some of the most ambitious targets. The Biden administration, for example, wants to reduce sales of gas-powered vehicles to 50% of all new purchases by 2030.
“Yes, yes [eventually] have enough, but not yet,” Piedmont Lithium (PLL) CEO Keith Phillips said in an interview with Yahoo Finance Live (video above). “There will be a real crisis to get the material. We don’t have enough in the world to shoot that much [lithium] production of the world by 2035.”
