Ronsterm .. yes it all flows on … but unfortunately the US was between a rock and a hard place in 1942 …. either the US supplied and backed the Red Army or be faced with a Nazi controlled western and eastern Europe … as no allied mainland european landing could ever be successful against a full strength Wehrmact … let alone a Luftwaffe free from eastern European duties …. even the bombing campaign would probably have had to be abandoned against modern German fighters with 'fuel' and nothing else to do but hack B-17's out of the sky if the Red Army had been defeated in 42 ….
… Macarthur wanted to drop 12 H-Bombs on China during the Korean War … looking at it now, he may have been very right, as that bombing may have changed the world and more died under Mao anyway …
.. General Westmoreland wanted a full scale invasion of Laos and Cambodia in 67/68 to cut off the HCM trail… had that happened, South Vietnam would still be free, Laos would be prosperous like Thailand and Cambodia would have been saved from the left wing horror that engulfed Cambodia in 1975 ….
… Taiwan is free and where the Chinese constitution exists, the communists only claim mainland China …. Taiwan is actually a US protectorate.
