I can't talk specifics, but when we visited my grandparents in Kadina during the 60's, we could see the tailings dump from Paskerville. My older cousins were brave enough to climb to the top of this 40m? mound. I managed to get to 10m from its summit. It went by the name of 'The Dump' and 'Mt Obadiah'. It was rich enough to be re-processed by a Japanese company in the 70's. With the urban development of Kadina and Wallaroo, I do not think anyone would dare to propose an open-cut mine and underground would still be too close to the town. Moonta Mines was often talked about as a better opportunity for re-starting. I recall it has also had the least amount of restoration work to the land surface.
