VRFB pumps are not my specialty. Far from it.
However I have designed any number of sewage pumping stations . . . and that is a particularly hostile environment for pumps.
What we used do was install 100% backup with the pumps. Each pump could be isolated by valves, so that if one of pumps did fail it could be isolated and replaced quickly and easily.
Sure the pumps may need attention, but I am sure that sensible design can accommodate any problem.
