    • Mining
Mining equipment: To extract fluorite from the ground, you'll need equipment such as excavators, loaders, and drilling machines.
Mine planning: This involves designing the layout of the mine, determining the most efficient extraction methods, and creating a schedule for mining activities.
Blasting: You may need a team of experienced blasters to break up the rock containing fluorite using explosives.
Drilling: Drilling machines are needed to create boreholes for the explosives used in blasting, and also for exploratory drilling to locate new deposits of fluorite.
Excavation: Excavators and loaders are needed to remove the blasted rock from the mine and transport it to the processing facility.
Safety and environmental management: You'll need experts in mine safety and environmental management to ensure that your mining operations comply with regulations and minimize harm to workers and the environment.

    • Materials Handling
Vibratory feeders: These are used to evenly feed the mined material onto the conveyor belts. They use vibration to move the material along, preventing clogs and ensuring a steady flow.
Conveyor belts: These are used to transport the material from the mine to the processing facility. They are made up of idlers (rollers that support the belt), motors to power the belt, and the belt itself.
Crushers: The material is fed into crushers to reduce the size of the rocks. There are several types of crushers, including jaw crushers, cone crushers, and impact crushers.
Grinding mills: After crushing, the material is fed into grinding mills to further reduce the particle size. There are several types of mills, including ball mills, rod mills, and autogenous mills.
Fine crushing: Once the material has been ground down to a fine powder, it can be sent to the processing facility for further processing.

    • Beneficiation Plant - Acid Grade Fluorspar Circuit
Beneficiation: This involves physical processes such as crushing, grinding, and flotation to separate fluorite from other minerals in the ore.
Processing equipment: Once the fluorite is extracted, you'll need equipment to process it into fluorspar and other products. This may include crushers, mills, and flotation cells.
Flotation cells: Flotation cells are used to separate fluorite from other minerals in the ore. This is done by adding reagents, such as collectors and frothers, to the slurry of ground ore and water. The reagents attach to the fluorite particles and cause them to float to the top of the cell, where they can be skimmed off.
Thickeners: After flotation, the fluorite-rich slurry is sent to thickeners, where it is concentrated by settling. The concentrated slurry is then pumped to a filter for further processing.
Filters: Filters, such as vacuum filters or pressure filters, are used to remove excess water from the fluorite slurry. The resulting filter cake is then dried and processed further.
Acid treatment: In some cases, the fluorite may be treated with acid, such as hydrofluoric acid, to remove impurities and produce high-purity fluorospar.

    • Detailed Design
Process flow diagram (PFD): A PFD shows the overall flow of material through the processing plant. It includes major equipment, unit operations, and material streams. The PFD is used to identify the required equipment and unit operations for the process, and to estimate material and energy balances.
Piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID): Once the PFD has been developed, a P&ID is created to provide more detailed information about the equipment, piping, and instrumentation required for the process. The P&ID includes information such as pipe sizes, valve types, instrumentation, and control systems.
Equipment selection: Based on the information in the PFD and P&ID, engineers can select specific equipment for each unit operation, such as crushers, mills, and conveyors. This selection is based on factors such as throughput, material properties, and operating conditions.
Data sheets: Engineers will need to gather detailed information about each piece of equipment, including technical specifications, performance data, and dimensions. Throughput sizing: The equipment must be sized to handle the desired throughput of material, which is determined by factors such as the size of the mine and the desired production rate.
Motor sizing: The motors that power the conveyor belts and other equipment must be sized to handle the required load and speed. This may require calculations based on the weight and volume of the material being handled.
Conveyor belt sizing: The width, length, and speed of the conveyor belts must be specified based on the throughput and material characteristics.
Mill sizing: The size and type of mill used will depend on the material properties and desired particle size. Engineers may use mathematical models and simulations to determine the optimal mill configuration.

Battery materials: Fluorospar is used to produce lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6), which is a key electrolyte component in lithium-ion batteries. To produce LiPF6, high-purity fluorospar is reacted with phosphoric acid and lithium carbonate in a multi-step process.
Silicon industry: Fluorospar is also used in the production of silicon metal, which is a key raw material for the manufacture of silicon chips. In this process, fluorospar is mixed with silica and carbon in an electric arc furnace, where it acts as a fluxing agent to remove impurities and facilitate the reduction of silica to silicon metal.Fluorospar purity: For both battery materials and silicon production, high-purity fluorospar is required. This typically means a fluorospar grade of 97% or higher, with low levels of impurities such as calcium and iron.
Environmental considerations: It's important to comply with environmental regulations and minimize the impact of your operations on the surrounding area. This may involve implementing waste management and water treatment systems.
