IMO I can't see DVM taking up the option. The capital required for the planned activities is far in excess of the initial investment DVM has made, or has available to it (unless there is a major capital raising). Surely, this opportunity would suit a major petrochemical player looking to break into the Chinese market. Someone has previously spoken of Caltex as a potential partner - why not aim bigger and better than that.
