reading your post, I tell you that you and my father is close in age been part of generation X. You are very lucky to live in the generation that you live in and you found a partner that loves you for you. The current generation that i live in is increasingly becoming superficial and money talks. Not one women that i have come across would date a man knowing that he is poor. That's just the way it is and in my humble opinion the resource boom has pretty much spolit the current generation of women.

My mother is a very beautiful woman and I asked her why did she marry my father knowing that she had the choice of marrying a wealthy man and she told me that she married my father because he had a university degree and he was hardworking and honest.

They don't make women like they use to anymore unfortunately =/
