I google "how long before equities reach their intrinsic value"
Their is some research done that measures how long a share price take to reach 95% of their intrinsic value.

From looking at historical records the times varied between 4 months and 3 years. One took 5 years but the majority reached their intrinsic within a period of 2 to 3 years. A small percentage were still below intrinsic value after 5 years.

They also found their was no correlation between how long a equity took to reach intrinsic value and how much undervalued/discounted the company was.

But it did appear that the more undervalued they were the greater the gain.

The longer we wait,..the more wealth is created.. and the more SHE appears discounted..until it starts to rise or capital is returned.

If i wait it doesn't matter if it rises gradually or rapidly ..as long as i am holding when it does rise.
