Changes to ASX from today.

The ASX has advised that from Friday 1st April 2005, the minimum price step structure will be amended so that a minimum price step of 0.5 cents applies for all stocks priced between the ranges of $0.50 and $2.00. Previously the minimum price step for this range was 1 cent.

As an example this means you will be able to place a limit order of $1.555. In the past you could only place the limit at $1.55 or $1.56.
