The CEFC is a government owned fund set up to lend to green projects while they are in the risky developmental stage.

The act states that it has an expiry date of 1 July 2018.

Presumably no new loans will be made for projects that extend beyond that date and that commercial lending institutions will be expected to take on the job from then on.

"The CEFC Act provides for a minimum of 50 per cent of the CEFC portfolio to be invested in renewable energy technologies, related enabling technologies and hybrid technologies that integrate renewable energy technologies by
    1 July 2018."

This would have been factored in by CWE in their planning on Australian projects for the next three years.  CETO 6 and hybrid microgrid technology are exactly the types of technologies that the fund has been created for.

As it expires on 1 July 2018, we at least have some idea of the timeline that CWE will have in regard to PWEP and GIMG.

I wonder if there are any further technology advances that CWE could fit in before the fund is closed?
