But yes exactly, from my experience these type of gaps fill 99% of the time.

I used to spend my time trading individual stocks (still do here and there) but I find that index's are much more predictable and less susceptible to nasty surprises that a individual stock would have.

I find exhaustion gaps are the most reliable fillers - like this one today. Just wait for a sign the trend is shifting (in my case MACD) and then take a punt. Should fill easily IMO in the near term.

Has worked pretty well last year - very low risk from my experience. (though low occurrence which is okay for me as im not a daily trader)
