It is crystal clear that people require money to live - if we are to try and keep the system we have - but, twiddle a few knobs and levers
not only do they need money - but, without money, there is no money for them to buy goods and services that the wealthy who own the companies provide -
so, no money - no customers.
No workers - means, no money from wages --- so, how do we get it to them?
Or do we thow out the entire system and start again?????
I don't know -- but, my bet is on the latter eventually.

Yes I think you are right. We are looking at a future of centrally planned production. A post-capitalist economy. The only question is to who's interest it will serve and which classes will be eliminated.
