Hopefully this is apt towards the conversation in general, as was watching a Forex trader on YT commenting on how he noticed spreads, arbs and profit margins on trades became thinner and thinner with the advent of algos.
As algos become more and more sophisticated, it makes sense that they can literally harvest vast amounts of market information, then proceed to trade against strong trends, with the financial horsepower to affect the performance.
Perhaps worth watching the trading behaviours as they reach the usually defined pivot points, JUST to see if there might be differing, pre - empting 'anti- trend' behaviours that will catch the majority of the market out. ( Rubs chin in deep thought... )
