Shareholders in the Fortescue Metals Group have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a dramatic restructure of the company.
The move involves splitting each of the company's shares into 10 which will increase the number of shares on issue to more than 2.8 billion.
FMG says the share split will improve liquidity in the company and attract more retail investors.
The company will begin trading under the new share arrangement on Wednesday.
