But there must be a delay with the money. Pesa, you said "Another mismanaged announcement made counting the chicks well before they're hatched!". I don't think that's fair as they have to announce as soon as the ink is on the paper, even if the money isn't in. ASX/ASIC rules demand it. I am sure if they could, they'd wait until the money was in before they announced. But they have to keep the market (us) 'fully informed', even if being 'fully informed' may mean they announce before the deal is sealed.

Makes it sketchy in this instance, but the alternative is that companies keep the info to themselves and get themselves (personally) set before they announce.
