    4% annually. Also in 2006-2008 the market went pretty bonkers, i bet the majority of that growth happened in that period. also how are the property spruikers of doubling every 8-10 years going? pretty far cry.
    take into account stamp duty, rates and taxes, maintenance and selling fees (i'll conservatively estimate $400k) he actually netted $800k. so a little under 3% net on his initial outlay.
    headline should read:

    "Blue Wiggle Anthony Field should have put his money in the bank"
