Mining & Finance is my background.
Thanks for appreciating my long hours of ferreting and reasearch
I don't follow management much when I look for a company to invest in but rather hunt down those elephant resources. My logic being even shithouse management have trouble screwing up a great resource, you can always replace them. This mob seem ok so far. 10/10 for laying their hands on this world class elephant.
It seemed only the geo who worked on it 25 years ago remembered it was there. He plus the Martino boys have managed to get hold of it and backdoor it into RCH.
I also take the position that the chances of getting blown up (lose your investment) up are much slimmer if the company you have put your hard earned into has a world class deposit and all the better if its also a high grade one. The share price can only go one way and thats up.
I am a bit of a ferret in that I have to know everything there is to know about a deposit, the properties of the mineral, the processing costs and the market outlook for the metal before I can sit back and just relax.
You will have also have noticed that I like to publish my research and other peoples (that sprott research article is superb - I posted the link earlier).
I'm not a trader, I buy and hold. I enjoy sharing what I learn so others can a make a quid and we can share the thrill. More fun when everyone does well rather than just one or two.
The one area I still need to work on is what proportion of the resource will be open cut versus underground. Apart from the high grade core which is open cut, I'm not yet aware of how the rest would be mined. I suspect most of it will be open cut but I dont know.
I wont post bullshit. I'f I don't know, I'll say so or I wont comment. So dont confuse my positive statements with ramping, there is no ethical rule against being genuinely positive about what you have discovered, thats what I am.
A little fish (RCH) has bagged a big elephant and now I want to see them put together a JV (looks like the only way of taking this elephant forwards) as soon as possible.
Probably the most interesting thing I have learned is what an amazing metal Molybdenum is. Its uses are exploding in widely different areas. The market for it exploding. the LME is also researching the possibility of having it trade on the LME.
They call it the metal of the 21st Century. Do yourselves a favour and read up on its qualities and uses.
