He also suffered an entire lifetime of depression and anxiety, perhaps schizo as well. Not a good mix, since it can trigger panic attacks and latent schizo. He was into the Green Chartreuse - also not ideal. And his shrink was equally troubled.... what a tragic set of circumstances.
Had he felt loved from the start, he wouldn't have ended up poisoning himself with cruddy drugs, shooting himself in the stomach and cutting his ear awf. Poor Dr Gachet looks sicker than his patient.
