Bill Gates's first computers had 32k of ram and he said that was more than any body would ever need, you can't even download a photo with that now.
Personally I'd rather err on the side of too much than too little when it comes to predicting our technological future, we missed the boat on high speed trains and decent highways lets not bugger this up as well
