Maybe the Libs should have scrapped Myki when they had the chance instead of becoming part of the process in the implementation of Myki.

Opposition Leader Ted Baillieu has said he may scrap myki if his party wins government in November.

Commuter uncertainty comes as Premier Ted Baillieu dithers about a decision on myki's future after almost six months in power.

Most observers expect myki to survive in a scaled-back form, as almost $725 million has already been spent on it.

But Mr Baillieu is facing growing criticism over the Coalition's failure to make a decision.

The Government is examining whether to scrap the controversial $1.3 billion system, which was rolled out by the previous Labor government.

Mr Baillieu has told Fairfax Radio he is still not ruling out scraping myki.

"We have to work out whether we dump it altogether, whether we modify it or we keep it."
