So i did some digging and there seems to be quite a bit of chinese propoganda out lately saying things like they've discovered enormous new lithium deposits in China and their scientists have found ways of producing lithium at dirt cheap prices...
yet they buy up lithium assets across the world.... to control supply. Also some mickey mouse news outlets are just repeating their garbage....
So yes... China is killing the lithium SP and buying up assets...This is what happens when you're up against the Commies because they just make up shit to spread in the news for their own gain...
At the same time you have PLS cutting supply due to slower than expected conversion capacity coming on line in China... solidifying the myth...
