Drives me nuts hearing "the whole sector is suffering" line come out of the Board and exec team!!! They might as well just come out and say "it's not our fault our numbers are so crap--it's the fault of others". I guess that is the difference between A grade execs and mediocre execs--A grade execs don't blame external factors and just get on with delivering on a well thought out strategy and accept responsibility for falling short of the mark while mediocre execs roll out a whole bunch of reasons that are out of their control for shit performance and say "we delivered shit results but that's ok so did our competitor".
